Ellen Lesperance’s monograph displays 20 years of work, and presents many of her gouache paintings that pattern after the full-body garments designed and worn by female activists engaged in protests, notably Greenham Common and its women’s peace camps.
For its cover, we asked Ellen to redraw the title by hand, with the same tools she uses to draw her paintings grids. It features Yamas, a typeface designed by Jules Durand.
